Remember that crypto thing?

It burst on the scene, then it kind of faded, and then there was a resurgence when people realised many of America’s biggest banks are bankrupt.

And remember how throughout all that time, you didn’t really learn much about it, or about what that “blockchain” thing actually was?

Now is a good time to start paying attention.

This book is meant to give you a background into the world of crypto and web3, including an introduction to the underlying technology, what the situation is currently and where things might go in future.

This is an e-book that gives you access to up to $50 in free crypto when you buy it (through deals with our partners). So as well as a return on your investment, you gain knowledge about a new space and an up-to-date look at all the drama going on right now!

Conclusion

Crypto is pointless. I don’t want to learn about it.

  1. Read the “Crypto in the Real World” section.
  2. It’s a tough time for all companies and protocols in the web3 space. There has been a wave of bankruptcies and fraudulent activity from bad actors. This has led many to speculate about the demise of crypto as a whole. These scams, crashes and downturns are certainly important because they hurt consumer confidence. But I think the world of crypto lives and dies by its use cases. If this new technology can be used to solve real-world problems, the sector will grow in the long run.

There are two mistakes you shouldn't make

  • Don’t dismiss the whole space because SOME projects within it are trash
  • Don’t judge the potential uses of new technology based purely on what you see today
  1. This is not a love letter to crypto - it’s meant to inform you. There are big risks and threats to the ecosystem which we will discuss. But if you think the world of web3 is not impacting the world at all, I’d send you back to point 1) and argue you’ve not dug deep enough.

It’s still early days

This is a chart made by a16z, one of the world’s most famous Venture Capital companies. It compares users of the internet with users of crypto/web3. We can see that web3 is following the exact same trajectory as the internet did in its early days. In fact, where we are now in web3 is exactly where the internet was in 1996.

Imagine being able to travel back in time to 1996 knowing how powerful the internet will become one day.

What do you do with that information? You could invest in Apple stock, learn to code, start your own company, or quickly buy a domain like cars.com (currently valued at $872 million). The opportunities are endless.

In the world of crypto – it’s still 1996.

The reading time for this book is about 3 hours…

It’s not meant to be an encyclopaedia. It’s meant to be a way for you to get the knowledge and background you need, as quickly and efficiently as possible.

The value of this book comes from the fact that I’ve trawled through hundreds of hours of material to find exactly what you need to learn at this stage.

A space full of new opportunities

If you are an entrepreneur looking for your next venture, there are protocols handing out literally millions of dollars in grants to invest in people who are building in web3 (example 1example 2example 3).

If you’re a burned-out employee, this is a sector where you can apply to jobs that didn’t exist a few years ago.

And of course, there will still be opportunities to invest in new coins and ecosystems that will appreciate rapidly.

But before you do all that – you need to have a base level of knowledge. That’s where this book comes in.

At worst: You'll learn a bit more about a new forefront of technology

At best: You use the foundation built from this guide to go and find your own 100x investments, or your next career opportunity in the sector.

If that sounds good to you… let’s get into it!
